...2 AM, towers, and him

It was always 2
in the morning with him
and for the girl
who always grew
brave at night
his senses made her
shiver.
And she couldnt figure out
if she loved or hated
the way he always looked
through her
but something about him
made her feel
like climbing towers
at night.
-Softly-
their hands
were like 2 sheets
of silk
melting
into the other and
there was always a moment of
intensity
when they looked at
each other
while laying their souls
down in
rhythm.
He was mystery
to her
and he represented
uniqueness and
the chance to have
something
so much more
special
than anyone-
ever.
It was like their
connection
was a wonderful
secret
from everyone else
in the world
who would never
experience
this kind of
passion
no matter how much
they deserved it.
They were 2 stars
that fell out
of the same beautiful
universe
and they knew they belonged
somewhere
better
than where they
were.
He was her
left
and she was his
right.
They were the world's
reason
for love.

I really think the poem in itself is tremendous, but why drag it out so much? It could have been 20 lines shorter and still as sweet.

I got a comment like that in salon two as well, and this is my explanation...its so long because I set it up in a way that each line is its own thought and the line after is sorta like an after thought...I really dont know how to explain it but I promise there is a method to my madness...thanks for the comment Jessica:)~Kelly

So, if there is so much there, why the hell doesnt one of you do someting about it? Why dance around and wait for the other person to make the move when you know that you want to but are just afraid of what might happen?Or am i way off on that one?

Kinda odd that you gathered all that....Chris....since the poem makes no inclination of that accusation;)...but maybe you just have esp or something. This poem is an exagerated feeling of a good friend, whom I would like to remain a good friend.
