Poem Number 289
Perfection?

Commentary:
You all think I'm perfection in the flesh,
maybe it's your minds you need to refresh.
Can't you see, when you're looking at me,
that I'm not all you're longing for me to be?
On the outside I fit your perfect dream
But you know what they say, things aren't always what they seem.
You think you know me, but you must be mistaken,
on the outside I appear calm, but inside I'm shaken.
You only see what you want, and not anything else at all,
Don't you realize that I'm about to fall?
CHORUS
Misconception-I'm not perfection, can't you hear me screaming?
Misconception-I'm not perfection, my life is not the dream you've been dreaming.
Misconception-I'm not perfection, I'm just playing the role,
Misconception-I'm not perfection, there is darkness in my soul.
Misconception-I'm not perfection, you're pressure is just too much to take,
Misconception-I'm not perfection, and I'm sick of being fake!
So don't be decieved, this is a false smile on my face,
I feel releived, now that I'm telling you the truth of my disgrace.
I'm not the perfection that you had thought,
I know you're thinking, this isn't what you taught.
