Poem Number 256
~~
Commentary:
Take me as I come.
Trust that I will shatter any mold you impress me upon.
Call me what you will but know that no label defines me to any extent.
Teach me all you can.
Realize that I can see through black and white to the truer shades and
I know jaded opinions are best ignored.
Understand that this life is mine.
I am not a spirit easily trampled under tyrannical feet.
I am not meant to be shut up in a drawer of placed on the shelf for posterity.
I am of unfathomable power.
My voice comes from inside out and never otherwise.
I am not here as a force to be reckoned with
or as a challenge for a would be conqueror.
I will love ferociously with a golden flame
and I will never simplify myself to gratify the curiosity of another.

Awesome....well, wait. That sounds childish. How about this - your poem is deserving of awe, and I definitely admire it. Good work Sam. *Michelle*
