Poem Number 1909
They go over and over again
Conversations of the past
They almost seem pretend
Longer i wish they'd last
My inner peace had left me
But then you opened my eyes
And told me what you see
Andlifted my spirit to the skys
I am what i strive to be to you
You're the only one that really knows
And who knows me better than i do
Now this true feeling shows
I can't express your meaning to me
Hard as i can though i try
though it isn't easy
While i try to hold back and not cry
I can't have you now
So i lay and reflect on memories
Though i end up loosing one somehow
Trying hard as i may to keep these
If only i could make new ones with you everyday
Then i wouldn't mind loosing one every now and then
Cause in my head new memories i'd have to play
But i'm stuck here playing old ones again.
