poem 4

nothing means
that much to me
anymore.
nothing that should at least...
...i don't care where my
future is headed,
i don't care about
politics
or
grades
or
women
or
having fun...
..although that is a
very rare occurance-having
fun i mean-......?
maybe one day
i will walk outside
and hear the birds
sing me a song
that seems as though
it came straight from the
core of heaven.
the zion song,
everlasting like the
pain...
but one night
when i was younger
and more inn-
ocent, i walked into my
parents room.
i heard them talking...
...but i could not hear their words...
i couldn't...
i just don't know why
that lead me
to hate everything.
but i just
can hear anyone...
nothing ever makes a sound,
all is silent that
plots and plans for me
to be driven away to
a place full of other
stupid little kids
full of big dreams and
yet still....

....
...no one would give a

Don't you understand? The reason we are so depressed is that we DO care. We care so much we can't understand why things are the way they are. If we didn't care, would we be writing things like this? Would we be crying out against what's happening in our lives? If we didn't care, we'd just drift along, deceiving ourselves into thinking we were just as happy as everyone else who doesn't care. We CARE, so we cry out against it.

being the guy who wrote this poem and all, i really have to say that just because i don't care about the bullshit doesn't mean i don't care about nothing at all. i'm not depressed by the way. if you want to discuss GOD and religion, i guess i can go ahead and say that King David was a very depressed person. have you ever read Psalms? i really appriciate the comments though.
