Poem Number 1362
THC Goggles

Commentary:
Trails of corpses leave me empty
Wanting to live but living to die
Feeling empty but knowing I’m too full
As you pray for me I lie here in my room
Leaving this world behind with the spark of a lighter
I sit back and wonder what will I do today
Light up another bowl and watch it all fade away
Pain can’t reach me here
Life’s misery is put on hold
All the world’s cries of anguish are muted

As I awaken from my euphoria
The pain and anguish hit harder then before
Knowing I only postponed what I had to do
I have to face the world
Unaided…

“I’ll finish this last sack and then I’ll quit”
My friends have heard it all before
What makes this time different
I feel the need…
I want the reality…

I hate this world shown through THC goggles
