Poem Number 187
[the power [or not] of the word]

Commentary:
I named my cat Mystic
Thinking it would translate
Into not having to feed her

The logic was that she could absorb
Whatever nutrients a cat requires
From the secret serums found in air

Like the ancient mystics
[cats are Zen]
-------
Holding up my
purring cat to the moon
I sighed.

-Jack Kerouac-
