Poem Number 301
Of Churches and Grocery Stores
rusty handles on closed doors
Commentary:
What should we give up for lent?
The preacher said, "sex"' and we tried.
Then, off to the market she went,
And I tagged along for the ride.
My hormones were up just a skosh,
The thot of it now makes me smile.
She bent to pick up a squash,
And I went for her, there in the isle.
The church put us out at the time,
For unacceptable flaws.
But, what's worse, I find now that I'm
Persona non grata at Shaws.

LOL. Very clever, BR. True story????

Thanks, "s.t.". No, darn it. It's just a joke I heard. The talk about writing a poem about the market got me thinking about what I could do with the joke.

You could take it to Piggly Wiggly
I'd stay clear of Price Choppers
Hannaford Superstore's a fun place. They'd probably make you Manager.
