Poem Number 289
of time and clocks
---dncng shdws
And sundials
---BR
And ancient rings of stone
---BR
We mark the minutes and the years
---BR
With finite cycles within finite cycles.

Commentary:
Time. How timely.
This little poem doesn't rhymely
but I don't care
still I share
*s.t.*
-
CLOCKS AND CROCODILES
-
Time waits not
wants not
needs not
Demands nothing
Eats everything
Holds no malice
Forgives no one
Never vengeful
Always watchful
Sometimes empty
Sometimes full
Multiplies the days
Divides the night
Sleeps soundly at the speed of light
-------
I kind of wrote myself into a corner when I added to this poem. I thought 'finite cycles within finite cycles" sounded good, but then I couldn't make it rhyme...BR
