Life's the battle ever waged
The Play that's always staged
Life's the road that's ever trod
The secret always sought
But now the battle has been won
The play is finally done
Now the road has been dissolved
The secret has been solved
For we don't go through life alone
The Lord is there to take us home
When we are crying and afraid
The Lord is there to keep us brave
When we are crying in the night
The Lord is there to make things right
Commentary:
I liked this even though I tend to avoid "god" poems. Nicely done. je
