Poem Number 347
Blessings Are in the Eye of the Beholder

Commentary:
The Good Lord came to a robin one day,
and said, "My dear Robin you are going away
to the most beautiful place that you'll ever see,
to my home in Heaven, where you'll sing for me."
But the robin said, "Lord what are the terms?
Will I lay lots of eggs and eat lots of worms?"
And the Lord said, "I'm happy to tell you the answer is 'no'."
"Well, then," said the robin, "I'm not going to go."

-------
The way I heard the story was from a "Master" from India. God offered to take a sow to Heaven. The sow asked, "Will I have lots of babies and eat slop?" God said, "No". So the pig said she didn't want to go.
