Poem Number 1024
Summer has slipped from our grasp again
Commentary:
Summer has slipped from our grasp again
And Summer's yellow has faded out
With the Goldenrod and the daisies gay
And the sound of the children's shout.
Now, Autumn's haze is over the land
And Autumn's red is in the air
With the apples, ripe, and the Maple leaves
And there's a tinge of saddness there.
