Crumbles, we call the dog,

~
Crumbles, we call the dog,
Who, laying upon the sunny porch,
Begs yesterday's biscuits.
Somewhere between wolf and pooch
it howls to broadcast gratitude
for the heat, for the hugs and the evening walks
It can even ring the bell.
I'm softened. Here. Take the whole bag.
If you knew how much you help
you'd run the show.
that trip to the beach,
where/when cats were/was waves
grown/grew large;
and crumbles stumbled on overlargs paws,
i swear, i saw/see/seen you laugh,
old dog.
