Poem Number 1111
My TV gave me Death
Commentary:
My TV gave Me Death
Written By Lisandro Miguel Infante
My TV is death
For a generation called X
But XX is the Chromosome
Labeled for female
And the difference is Y
For males
But I am not asking
Any questions
Because my TV
Killed the whole lot
Of You’s
Us
Is there a surplus?
My TV gave me death
In the form of
Rays
Delays
In programming request
Commercials
Tons of them
In jest
It’s just
So ridiculous
How the media
Portrays me
Obeys me
At the press of a button
Stopping only
If you see something
Humping
Something
Bumping into the nightstand
If the station signal
F l i c k e r s
And Robin Byrd
Snickers at your small erection
Your worst impression
And remembrance
Of whom you really have become
The outcome is this:
My TV concludes with Death
My death
Your death
My breath your breath
Depends on the exist
Of the magic box
The smart tube
The giver
Of our products &
Entertainment
.
