Poem Number 1564
I don't want to be who I am.
I don't want to be inside my head.
Can't close my eyes without your smile,
Can't love anyone else because you aren't them.
I don't want to be what I've become.
I don't want to be so far away from what I love.
Can't imagine the rest of my life without you,
Can't move on. How could I be so dumb?
I don't want to think about losing you.
I don't want to live this lie.
Can't handle things the way you could,
Can't tell you I love you, i wish you knew.
I know that you forgive me.
I know that you of all people understand.
Can't wait to be tangled in your embrace,
Can't stop smiling, knowing where I'll be.
They don't know.
Maybe no one ever will.
You've been below,
the surface, and know the void you fill.
They don't see.
Maybe they can't be believed.
I know where I need to be.
With you, I'll be relieved.
