Poem Number 1550
from where i was standing
i closed my eyes
seeing you as the wind hummed through my hair
it sang a sad small tune
brought you standing next to me
i watched as you griminced picking up smooth, opaque rock
it's stoney exterior reminding you of me
i waited expectantly watching fireflies , flittering weavers building reality in the moment
as you tossed, the sharp thwack, thwack, thwack before it sunk beneath the glassy surface was almost audible
and i had to laugh at your contrary nature before i cried feeling the icey impact
as lay there, blood oozes from my head like red wine being poured in a glass
how i loved you so when you were young and innocent
