Poem Number 920
Foot Steps on the pavement
Like a heartbeat
No rest, no stopping, if I stop I wont make it
Forgetting the rest would be unthinkable
Insufferable
In short, unforgettable
Hand Slaps on the stop sign
Like a flyswatter
Maybe that's what I'll call this move. The sign can share the glory
With the supple joints of my urban anatomy
and with every eye and camera also present.
They are stuporous with anticipation
What a teribble god creation
I will now experience faight
Commentary:
Any guesses on what that last word's supposed to be? No offense to its writer, of course. I'm just trying to understand the poem. Do I hear any arguments for "fight?" Or "fate"? This could be like the next "solid/sordid" question!
