Poem Number 172
Love is a fools game
***********************
If love is a fools game,
then I am but a jester of the court.
For I play for all time
till I can finally be the wild card joker,
the lover
Maybe even the queen of hearts
- at last happy with her king.
Commentary:
Let me know if this one makes sense you. It was on a whim that I wrote this one.

Very nice metaphor Steph. Intriguing to say the least. Well, I think everyone plays this game all the time. Except in my tries at the game, I end up with the two of spades, lowest in the deck.--Ladyjewel

So discard and try again maybe you'll hit the jackpot. I haven't really had the best fate in the world with these games either, you have to have the "Poker face", cool, calm, collected, and seemingly uneffected.

tejas likes the poem; he is reminded of Skakespeare's KING LEAR: "summon my fool!" Lear has a problem distinguishing true love from false love--a tragedy, yet he learns a lesson in the end. Tejas has had many unfortunate love problems in life too.
-------
Thanks Tejas, I am sorry for your unfortunate 'love problems',though.

Well, tejas, welcome to the club. Hey, love problems are all everybody ever has. Did you know the world revolves around love, if not one form or another? And love does not mean just passionate love, friendship and family are examples of it. --LadyJewel

Don't I know it...
