Poem Number 142
If I said you had a beautiful body
Would you hear my words or
Hear only insinuations
Threats or queries
Or only my desires
IF I SAID THAT YOUR THOUGHTS INTRIGUED ME
Would you believe me
Or simply see the emptiness
behind the words that are trying
IF I SAID ALL THIS TO YOU
would you listen to me words
or look beyond and see my meaning
With your every breath, my soul screams for you
but I resist my yearning, for I wonder if you know how I really feel.
Yet I tremble to think that you do
I miss you most when you're away, which is all the time, night and day.
