Poem Number 1170
Came the darkness to her eyes
An optical eclipse where once was bright
Form now given to her lies
Cheerful day now cloaked in night
Blindness washing over purest sight
How could such light be quenched as this?
Her soul's glad flames never more to ignite
Clouded by secrets, by thoughts gone amiss
No longer seeing with clarity life's sheer bliss
