It was an "Oh fuck" Monday
the kind that sticks to your shoe
bubble gum on a hot sidewalk
stuck hopelessly inside the tread pattern
trailing gooey angel hair to stick
in the carpet of your freshly detailed BMW
The server failed to serve so we self served for a while
but the data was too soft
slumping in the cone
we tried to firm it up
but it melted away in a slippery puddle
with waves in concentric circles expanding
around the nucleus of each of my fallen tears
It was an "Oh fuck" Monday
and now it's done
and I pray that tomorrow
won't be another one

It's irritating when that gum gets stuck on the brake pedal. Good description of a Monday morning.
