Poem Number 555
Sweet Champagne
Commentary:
Where are you
sweet Champagne
you're in my brain
things aren't the same
I'm in the rain
sweet Champagne
since you've been gone
where have you gone
sweet Champagne
please call my name
I feel the rain
on my face
sweet Champagne
since you're not here
oh, sweet Champagne
please feel my pain
lame steps I walk
I need a cane
when you're not here
I'm broken lame
sweet Champagne
sweet Champagne
sweet, sweet Champagne
you're in my heart
I'm torn apart
since you've been gone
things aren't the same
sweet Champagne
please call my name
I'm on my knees in the driving rain
sweet Champagne
I'm not the same
since you've been gone
Sweet Champagne
my heart is empty
when you're gone
Sweet Champagne
I'm in the rain
since you've been gone
-------
c'mon I pulled all 5's here
I'm a one armed bandit of love
lookin' for a jackpot o' sunshine
to peek through the rain clouds
and warm my frozen lips to dance
with the sweet and sultry nectar
of a sugary romance
