Nature will exhale any moment now here in Idaho. The season just turned last week. It was sudden and unmistakable. I love 'Autumn anticipation' and how you capped it with the waiting for snow. Excellent work, BR.

I'll tell you again that I'm glad to see you commenting again L.J. This year (2011) we got a huge snowstorm befor Halloween.

It is a pleasure to come and see such quality poetry, BR. As you said elsewhere, this was a busy site once. Eritain and OptoMike, Da Red Queen, many others with wonderful talent. Would have loved a book of their Haiku's. Then went through a time of vulgarity but that didn't last too long. Such writings melt in the sunshine of true talent. It is so nice to be back among the Poets! I love your work, BR. Lida Jo from Idaho

BR, your imagery is sooooo fine! May I use this in my poetry class to illustrate images? I'll give you credit. This is an enviable poem, one of those, "OH, WHY can't I write like that????" poems. LJ from ID
-------
Lida Jo, you are welcome to use anything I write. I wish I could write well all the time. I wonder if Robert Frost (my favorite) ever had a dry spell?
...Bill (BR)
-------
BR, thank you so much! Yes, Mr. Frost had dry periods and occasionally I run across a poem of his that I consider not up there with his great stuff.
I do love your work! Lida Jo

This is giving me goosebumps. I have a son we call BR whose buisiness name is Bill and he could have written this Haiku. I love the title you worked from Bill and I love the power of the word 'gently' as you used it here. Wonderful. LJ from ID

I appreciate your comments. My name is William Roberts and I live in New Hampshire. I used to think that there was only one narrow road leading to God. As this poem shows, my concepts have changed.
