shirtless a boy runs
through the field
flooded by the blood
bled from the hearts of fathers
mothers, brothers, and sisters who died in exodus

a great visual :) now i feel autumn's approach.

wondering why you didn't choose the more obvious "a boy runs shirtless". The word order you have stops the eye. Perhaps that was your intention, but it made me more aware of the 'craft' and less aware of the visual, which is strong and good.
