Poem Number 1601
first snowfall
sugar-coated pines
Debussy

Commentary:
a revival of #1452.....RAS
-------
I read this and there, just like magic, all kinds of Debussy went rushing through my head. Listened to a record as a kid -- Isao Tomita playing Debussy on the Moog synthesizer -- "Snowflakes are Dancing", it was called. Now it's playing back on hard-wired brain circuits in the highst fidelity neurons can provide. (Actually, the one I'm "listening" to right now is, I think, The Sunken Cathedral, and has nothing to do with snow. Oh well.) Thank you for the trigger! --eritain

happy that it meant something to you. I was actually listening to Ravel when this moment occurred,
but it didn't fit. And you've heard one French romanticist, you've heard 'em all ;-) .......RAS

~~~~~
Gal's gone ... oh, drat her!
My gal's gone ... I say, "Drat her!"
But I ... don't matter.
~
She's gone. Me, worried?
Oh, no; ain't nohow worried --
I wish she'd hurried!
~~~~~
Sorry ... you reminded me of a song -- "Now she's gone; but I don't worry. I'm a-settin' on top of the world!" And, well, I felt a moral obligation to write something like into a blues haiku. So really it's *your* fault I inflicted these on the world :-) Happy hols to you too. -e
