Poem Number 1147
small child with red eyes,
in the hot bus-station crush
looking for mommy

Commentary:
This one just breaks my heart. Lida Jo
-------
When my daughter was little, and crowds were big, I used to put a child
harness on her. I was so feared of loosing her. When she grew up she
said that wearing that harness(although it brought glances & snickers)
made her feel safe. Me too.--GrandmaThing--may you know love.
Try Niagara Falls, looking into the gorge.
-------
mommy runs like hell
"I never wanted kids" and
she gets on the bus
'*~Neon
-------
Oh, Neon, I'm sorry you have enough emotional facts to write this. It is
powerful, emotional, yet understated with marvelous compression. You have
put into 17 syllables the realities of many a young life. I am profoundly moved. Lida Jo
