Poem Number 1103
a very small box
likely holds a precious gift
that still-born newborn
Commentary:
After adding line on poem above, my thoughts were on graves which brought
back memories of a neighbor whose child was crawling age who somehow
got into the toilet bowl and drowned. Can't forget the tears and broken
hearts --and that small white box.--GrandmaThing--May they know love.
-------
Momma Thing: One of my foster sons had a baby who died of SIDS. It was the saddest funeral. The baby was lying in the small white box holding a white bible and a cross. They were teen parents.... ~Quiche~
-------
Quiche::I have a cousin who had 3 children and 2 of them died that way.
The remaining boy tries not to let the mother out of his sight for fear
she won't come back, like the babies. Don't know how she got through
the pain.--TT63
-------
Love gets you through the pain. My second son died of SIDS 12 years ago. I think of him often. My family and friends continue to help the healing.I hope others who suffer will get through the pain too.....DRQ
