Poem Number 1053
classic chevrolet
Is my choice of car if only
it comes with "that" driver.
Commentary:
Old Chevies never die!
~O~ Coyote ~O~
-------
I learned to drive , at 24, on a 1957 Chevie. It was turquoise and
white and was very loved by its owner. I still think it's the best thing
on 4 wheels.--GrandmaThing--May he know love.
-------
My uncle had a 1969 Camaro for the longest time. He got it from my aunt, who got it from my grandpa. It was driven daily for about 15 years until one day, it died in its sleep. That was a good car. His last Chevy was an 89 Beretta. That had 154,000 miles on it when he finally got rid of it last winter.

my first car was a 66 impalaSS. It sold new for $3200
I`d gladly pay double for one today..paid $250 for it
sold it for $1500. had over 300,000 miles on it
should`ve kept it..........39

Mine was an '81 Mustang, four banger, red, new paint, big tires, a high school hotrod. Sold it to a buddy eight years ago for $500. He still owes me $300, that bastard. A lesson learned. -thayne
-------
I can't quite afford a car. I have a grand total of $287 to my name, not counting 200-something I'm owed that I won't get till October. There's a haiku in 1 that pretty much sums up my situation.

Amazing how this poem evoked so many car memories! Like in Lone Star, do we all have "that car?" Sullen.
-------
I got my good car memories, and my bad ones. When I was a kid, me and Mama were at a stoplight behind a bus, and someone rearends us into it. Neither of us was hurt bad, but it totalled the car, an orange 1970 VW station wagon named Francis. That was a good car, too. For a foreign car.
