Poem Number 1912
You Know It's Autumn When...

Commentary:
morning mist
the pond sleeps under
its covers

yellow jackets
eating the season's last
black raspberries

daily the sun
retires earlier and
sleeps in later

high noon
yet the sun still casts
long shadows

little pellets
on the kitchen counter -
thank you, field mice

nine long months
of dry and mealy
tomatoes

Thanks... glad I could afford you some nourishment! - Sasha
-------
sorry sasha i can't let you die.
-------
i always believed you were my soulmate.
-------
but i was taught
that soulmates are no more real
than unicorns................(Sasha)
-------
to be taught
is to be cut off
from your truth.......shaque
-------
windblown sapling
survives the storm but grows
forever bent..............................(Sasha)
-------
if anyones bent
its you. Keep your damn judgements
unless you're perfect.
-------
that was the point, my witless, anonymous friend. What grade are you in, anyway?..................(Sasha)
-------
witless wonder
I have more brains than you
to break up with me!
saque
-------
