Poem Number 343
Second chance in time?
Erase my blunders, foresee
Their words: a Genius!

Commentary:
I'd better do some explaining. I just logged on to the IPP site from a different computer, and scrolling down through the poems and commentary, I suddenly realized everything was 4-5 days ago on each page. The possiblities of anticipating poetic and commentary developments which hadn't even occurred to the writers themselves were just occurring to me, I hit fullscreen to begin a commentary that would secure my god-like status among the IPP community (and leave zizi in permanent therapy)and suddenly everything updated to present. Mitch
-------
Did you think for a second that the whole world maybe had jumped back five days in time? And, you know, you could, go and win the lottery? And stuff?
Or, did you hope that perhaps we wouldn't notice the fact that a load of previously unnoticed but strangely prophetic Mitch commentary had all-of-a-sudden just appeared out of the blue? Did you naturally presume that it would appear above the commentary from the last five days, therefore completing the mystery? What if it didn't, and just appeared in the normal way, below everyone else's comments? You'd look a right fool. Now, if your computer had downloaded the IPP site from five days into the future, then you could have some fun. But only if you could remember what everyone had said I'm sorry was going to say. Then, you could become as a God. Immortal. Undying. The Ever-Powerful Mitch.

-------
The Lotto! How could I have missed that, swept up in my dreams of becoming all-knowing god of this IPP community? I'm cursed with big frog-small pond syndrome. Mitch
-------
Of course, if the world had've jumped back five days in time and if you did become The All-Knowing Godhead Master Of The IPP, and not gone out the door and bought a lottery ticket, your Divinity would only have lasted five days. Those five days would have been the most spiritually and artistically fulfilling of your entire life. You may well have achieved pure IPP enlightenment. We would be as lowly minions, pulling at your robes for the intense bliss of your Absolute Wisdom. Yes, Mitch. That could have been You.
On the other hand, you could have been like Biff in Back To The Future II. I know which one I'd choose.

-------
Biff? No, my great wealth would only be used for the good of all Mankind (and various womankind who suddenly would awaken to my virtues). Surely all who've come to know my unblemished character in these environs would concede that. Mitch
