Poem Number 314
Gargoles look down from
High perch at the human world,
Content to be stone.
Commentary:
Quiche::Too, too! Profound!--MommaThing--may you know love
-------
As stated profound and to coin a phrase from Lida Jo, speaks volumns.
I can understand their contentment. I bet their glad they can't cry.
Well said.

They have no reason to cry, opto. Stone creatures inflict or receive pain. Or can they? ~Quiche~
-------
...uh, that would be "can't inflict nor receive pain" ...had to correct that before Mr or Mrs Pickey saw it..~Q~
-------
QM,
Guess I went astray of your meaning here. For myself If they are looking
down on this world they have plenty of reason to cry. LOL

Funny, opto, I went astray also. This WAS my original meaning of the poem, the gargoles looking down at humanity, the comment was written as a response to your comment, not to the poem. They have no reason to cry for themselves, yet, yes they indeed could have plenty of sorrow over the human condition.I am sure God also weeps (and rejoices at times) as He looks upon us. ~Quiche~
