Poem Number 216
Goddess Astarte
Strolls in her new robe of dawn
Reaches ---enfolds you.
Commentary:
Vin::I would like to know about your Goddess Astarte. Where have you
known her? Thought I had heard of most of the mythological ones. Was
she the goddess of morning or something?----___ThisThing___63
-------
Wasn't Astarte Venus, the Morning Star? I think she was also the Ashtaroth that de Hebrew chilluns had so much trouble with. Babylonian? --eritain
-------
And "Ishtar" is cognate as well. --eritain again
-------
Vinny:: Feels like those mornings when our Dad took us camping! "Who'
got my sweatshirt? brrr". Nice joining your haiku. ___ThisThing___63
