alter ego creeps up on me showing me the many faces of me.It sure helps
when we can laugh at ourselves and not take life so seriously.

Thing: that's true...alter egos give us a temporary shelter but still others can see flickers of our true essence. Some dead philosopher/writer said (Thoreau? Emerson? I took as few college lit courses as possible) "Who you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying," or something of that vein. But humor is what saves us time and again, no? ---kgb

I believe your right laughter is the best medicine, or so I've heard.
I like the haiku. Well said on the subject of alter egos. I guess
we can't really hide from who we really are and maybe true happiness
come when we can accept who we are and then live with it. The problem
is other people, parents, peers, spouses, society doesn't always like
who we really are and so they go about trying to show us the errors of our
ways. That's when unhappiness comes rolling back in. I of course am
not advocating law breaking in any of this commentary before I start
getting blasted here. Maybe this is a good time to shut up. LOL
