Poem Number 1120
cloud covered moonlight
shadows less captivating
hurry over bridge
Commentary:
During my teen years I would take a bus home after 9 on Fri. and I was always
a scardy cat. Would jump off bus, run as fast as I could over the bridge
by a field, pass the slaughter house with railroad cars of cattle
(sheep, whatever) over the tracks two houses--ahhhhhhhhh home.--Was
especially frightening on cold, rainy nights when the river was high.--
GrandmaThing--May you know love and a peaceful way home.

~
when I was a teenager, we lived in a very remote area...our distant neighbors' huge dog Hansel would wait for me in my front yard every night. He'd greet me as I got out of the car, walk me to the door, and trot through the woods to his home.......:-).....cecily
