Poem Number 1080
Helpless bankruptcy
Heart broken by the hammer
of the auctioneer
Commentary:
Alice::After my Mom had been sent to a nursing home(after 65 yrs. or so
of living in her own home) she said to me, "Do you know what they did?
They sold all my pretty things. I don't have anything left." Most of the things
went to family members but they still didn't belong to her anymore.
Broke my heart--I wasn't there to get any keepsakes either.--GrandmaThing--
May we know love.
-------
This hasn't happened to me GT.. but in the small town where my parents live there are always places going up for auction and I wonder how it must feel to have someone, with one stroke of the hammer, take away part of you...alice
