People loved big monuments back then and it's sweet of you to notice
and write about it. c-belle
-------
Based on a grave a couple hundred yards from my place. Descendants wanted to get the whole family on the monument -- which, given that he was well-off for a Utah pioneer, meant all twelve wives and fifty-some-odd children. I've slept on beds smaller than that slab.
Thanks for your compliments! --eritain
-------
OMG!
Maybe back then wives were cheaper by the dozen?
If they all slept in one large bed, well that's probably what

Real, live quote from a family reunion I attended in an even smaller Utah town: "Half of Redmond was in plural marriage at that point, and none of 'em liked their spouse." I suspect more than a few died from burning out their diplomacy glands :-) --eritain
