Poem Number 4930
For those who remember Ginny aka Cecily
Commentary:
Long-time visitors to this site will remember Ginny, nee "cecily." you know she has lymphoma. The disease has been especially nasty in recent months. Ginny has received massive radiation and chemo and a cell transplant from her father. she is in a hospital in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
Ginny has been in a "semi-coma" since last Sunday night, only rousing enough to open her eyes periodically. Her husband Bill and sister Debi welcome all the positive energy and prayers we can generate. Many of us are "visiting" Ginny every night at 10 p.m. eastern time. Call it a healing circle, a prayer circle, a focused energy session, group meditation...whatever and however. You and your abundant energy are most welcome there. Simply point yourself toward Raleigh, NC. Turn out your lights. Light a candle. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. And join us for twenty minutes, beginning at 10. Thanks. ~Q~

I keep in touch with her sister and her husband. At this point, her kidneys are in failure and she is not conscious, but there is no sign of cancer and her white cells are growing...keep praying, there is hope.
~Q~
-------
My prayers are with Ginny and her whole family during these trying times, and thank you ~Q~ for you being you ...birdman
-------
You might remember, Birdman, she has two young children. This is especially hard for them...and of course for her...thanks for the prayers.

-------
The word on Ginny is that she is improving. :)

-------
Good news!
-------
March 8th...she's doing very well. She's eating, talking a bit, walking a very little bit...her blood count is up. ~Q~
-------
Ginny had been improving, up walking, talking, etc. Friday she took a crash and her kidney and respiration hve failed. Short of a miracle, she isn't going to make it through the night. Please pray, she is one of us. ~Q~
-------
God bless

I recall cecily's collaboration and tutelage fondly. May she find a happy place in the realms where the 'haiku moment' makes its home. --eritain
-------
Knowing her time was short, she lived life the way we all should - as though we'll die tomorrow. I hope her family can find some solace in knowing that her ordeal is over, and that perhaps her journey has just begun...
~
she dances now
in the arms of angels
and immortals
borne aloft by
ethereal music
played by the gods
her earthly life
now almost forgotten
as she ascends
the memory
of her painful struggle
a distant dream
one last look back
at two motherless babes
she's left behind
at her husband
as lost and bereft as
a child himself
and she resolves
to return home each night
to tuck them in
(Godspeed, Ginny.................RAS)

Would you mind if I sent these to Bill (Ginny's husband)? Nice to see you eritain, RAS, Grandmathing...it's been a while! ~Q~
-------
I can't speak for eritain or GT, but certainly, feel free...............RAS
-------
Well ras, you did speak for them....I went ahead and sent them. ~Q~

For those who liked Ginny's writing she left one I came across
today while looking up one of my own. In Critique Solo 4 Number
458 about her son called, "Peanut Butter and Jelly Kisses".
GrandmaThing-Beatrice Heller Knapp my old army name. Oh yeah-but
may you know love!
-------
Peanut Butter and Jelly Kisses is one of my favorites out of Ginny's writings. Thanks for mentioning it, GT. ~Q~
-------
Ginny's spirit lives on through her poetry and kindness.
Remembering her always brings a smile to my heart.
as my legs
climb these hills
I feel spring
