Poem Number 4769
Bridge - Over troubled waters…
A dribble here
A dabble there
Your paintbrush woes my sorrows
And swirls in time become my fate
And coax my soul to unlearn hate
The ways of true denial.
And as I wish for things beyond the scope of all you seek,
Before me stands the promised land my eyes see this...they weep.
And joy caresses all between the deep red hues...my blood,
You used to build the bridge to save my path from this Earth's mud.

Just play your cards well
And the Jack beats Kings and Queens
In Life's game of Bridge
