You are both mistaken in your interpretation of my words,and I am probably going to be considered even MORE heinous in your judgement because I have to explain it to you:
I only meant that there are no such things as original ideas.I was attempting to express the deep paradox of poetry that exists when a writer tries to lay claim to "an original idea".
I,for one,do not believe in the possibility of anything new under the sun.
You two,on the other hand,may of course believe as you wish.
It was not my intent to defame or persecute you,GrandmaThing,but rather,to simply communicate an idea based on my understandings of human nature,and I ask forgiveness if the haiku provoked you negatively.
I knew it was provocative,but I never meant the negative connotations.Sometimes to get at the truth,I guess one must risk offending others.

like a double-edged sword of Damocles, it doesn't take much of an edge to
cut. Wasn't it the Beetles who sang, "For Every Season-Turn, Turn" stolen
right from "theword". There is nothing new under the sun-words come and they go
they change and remain the same. I am sure we have stolen all of the
"originals" of the fine Japanese authors who developed haiku- unknowingly,
