Poem Number 4571
Seven little ducks
Politely crossing the road
In a crooked line
Commentary:
Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack. How many of you remember Robert McCloskey's Caldecot winner Make Way For Ducklings? This afternoon seven ducklings crossed the road in front of my car. Obviously Mr. and Mrs. Mallard had left them alone for the afternoon and they were juvenile delinquients off for a swim in the pond on the other side of the road. - CM

Hey, CM: Nice to see you again. I visited my girl in South Carolina a few
years ago and some towns have a law that says you must stop your car for
ducks crossing the road. So comical. Every spring.--GrandmaThing-May you know love!

Oh, bye the way! I like your haiku. Hooray! Nature takes precedence and
makes it a true haiku! Thanks. -GrandmaThing
