Poem Number 4320
Having four-wheel drive
Means you can get stuck further,
Much further, from home.
......bkay
Commentary:
I thought you were from a warm state bkay?

Having four-wheel drive
Means nothing out on the ice
Studded tires might help

~Chikuba Madman

Of course it helps when your truck isn't so old that the FWD hasn't bitten the dust too:)

Ah, the ol' Arizona myth. Most folks think it's all desert, but up north where I live (at 7000 feet), the snow can get to be, as we say, asshole-deep to a ten-foot elk. Anyway, the haiku wasn't about snow but mud. When it rains, our dirt turns into a red slurry that sticks to everything.....except your tires when you're driving in it. Since I live on a dirt road and do most of my driving on dirts roads (by choice, actually), occasionally you find yourself wishing you'd bought that winch when you had the chance........bkay

LOL do you have Maine speed bumps each spring too? Or I should say Arizona Speedbumps? My driveway is a quarter mile bkay three bad muddy spots in the spring. What about you? -CM
-------
Not sure about Maine speed bumps, but Arizona speed bumps are roadkill javelina. My driveway is short, less than 100 ft., but I'm 3 miles from the nearest paved road......bkay
-------
We have some of those too but once I make the road all I have to do is watch out for the frost heaves which can send you skyward like an old time car chase movie. (State Speed Bumps for those city folks who only have to contend with car swallowing potholes:) -CM
