Poem Number 1745
My coma

Commentary:
Eyes twisted by years of bathing in prejudice
turn screws when ever possible
whispered things dangled in my way
like waiting spiders
waiting for dinner to arrive.
.
Standing as observer to my life
which happens all to often
I see me walking
smothered often by a swirling fog of hate
with out reason
with out cause
hate alone for the sake of hate.
..
Some morning that's beautiful and perfect
I will open my eyes
hear a voice declaring me back from the void
On that day I will see people who love me
people who care about me.
When pressed
I will tell them the story of my life
in another time and place
where they didn't exist outside my dreams.
A story of pain and rejection
a life time of walking on broken glass
watching my blood spatter on the white buildings
that marked the seasons of time.
I'll tell them about the people
the ones who hated me without reason,
I'll tell them about the nightmears that never stopped completely.
Then I'll tell them how happy seeing them has made me
knowing that when I dream
my coma will be my reality once again.
...
