Poem Number 1627
I stole your words,
What did you expect?
It wasn't my footsteps you heard,
Your the one who left,
You stooped to give a good bye kiss,
Promising to return tomorrow,
Casually, your eyes said "Don't call me, I'll call you," Mine replied "As you wish",
But if you think you can just pick it back up, who rose colored glasses did you borrow?
I already know the outcome of your game,
Risk it all for a no chance bet,
And be the one left standing in the rain,
These kinds of things time doesn't help you forget,
Come like lace dressed dagger expecting heart to bend,
After all the silence the hello leaves ear drums shattered,
Left in the black hole of your life, is this how you treat a true friend?
After all, Where were you when it really mattered?
Back to square one, is where you lost it,
How are you is about as far as it's going to be for now,
All that time, that trust, is what the cost is,
Rebuilding a burned bridge, if your sure you know how
