Poem Number 985
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning."
Bruised, broken, and sun of man
to worship the descending or ascending one
hides the battle of angels within us
to become fully human that is the goal
of angels who are wholly pure, but you O Fallen One
have brought the anger of god to share
with the greatest and very least of us
to wrestle and tame the beast in us

Commentary:
great line

may as well stop now, i guess

why?

sure... go onward

never ends...
a collaberation?

i think i've confused the pome. i was thinking about the Sufi belief that the goal of angels is to become human, to grapple with choice and to suffer in order to refine oneself to purity. it's a bit more complex than my simplistic description :)
-------
there is a Black Angel "cult" of Sufi's who are involved with belief of a fallen angel. i must go back and look it up.
-------
very nice! you always add the coherence or glue that holds and guides the piece :) i learn a lot about structure when i have the fortune to write beside you.
-------
shucks

lol!
