Poem Number 3718
beacon
Commentary:
i remember when
you were something
i'd never even
thought about before
.
i remember the day you touched my arm
simply, softly
but in that moment
sparks flames fire
exploded
.
i remember you sitting there
talking about mountains and fireworks
and i was lost in the depths of your eyes
nodding
thinking "i know about fireworks now"
.
i remember when you noticed that
and i remember how it felt
to have your skin
burning
against mine
toes
curling
back
arching
until
you
screamed
.
and as the smoke swirled around and the dust settled
i realized that fireworks were child's play
.
it was volcanic
.
and the more we let go, the more we lost
i watched us, spewing forth upon the world
.
i remember the day i looked back
and saw how much we'd become
and how wrong it all was
trying
knowing that living was getting in the way
.
i remember picking up the pieces
of a heart not ready for battle
thinking i could get by
if i could just
shutdown close up
lock away my thoughts
.
but i will never forget
how i ruined you
with a four letter word

Good stuff!
-------
Dear Mo. This is heart stopping stuff - so powerful & intense. You're not in the same league anymore & before you show the faintest trace of insecurity yes I do mean higher;)
So pleased to see you back
Jax
-------
Wow, very intense mo! I fear I have either lost the knack or simply don't have time anymore. I think I may recall both u and Jax, but perhaps I am mistaken. ~~~Stephany (picaco)
