Poem Number 3705
On My Second Day of Godhood

Commentary:
On my second day of Godhood
(Godliness? Goddom?
I think it will be Godhood.)
I hereby reduce all human speech
To barks and meows.
-
I have great disdain
for the Semi-colon,
that pretentious, wincing mark,
So, from now on,
We all hyphenate.
-
I understand things at a certain speed
And that will be called "great intelligence."
Those who understand things slower that I
Will be called "normal."
Those faster, "Savants."
"Autists,"
-
The 6-6-6 rule
(Six feet, six figures, six inches)
Will be no more.
5'9" will be admired,
Low salary, the sign of an artist,
I'm not touching the last one.
-
In short--and that's not a pun.
When I walk into a bar,
A club, a party,
I will be
Regarded.

Hmmm, O benvolent (what shall we call you?) what will you do on the third day?

I enjoyed this one greatly--never heard of the 6-6-6 rule.

I only heard it recently. It's always assumed that my gender is the shallow one, and it's reassuring (I think) to learn that both are.
-------
Shallow - us? Six figures - is that like having many sculptures? I really like this but I would like to know what happened on the first day;) jax
-------
See...here, I thought day one was related to the fan-incident. Am I wrong?

I'll never tell. (I'm pretending the unanswered question makes the piece "meaningful".)
