Poem Number 858
Commentary:
why do i keep thinking that you could be my friend
you look to make certain that i see you don't care
lurking in the open - a "who gives a shit" glare
a drawing in sand, a common experiences past
a whisper from another life, a cursed lesson unlearned
the intimacy that exists between us was not earned
-------
this is a new day
observing selfish selflessness
bites and pieces
the allure of passion
the safety of reality
muses, musing, addictions of thought
what sneaks in without notice
the illusions that sustain
then break us.
