Poem Number 818
roots run deep
in blood soaked soil
time stands still
in the promised land
look over yonder
see my savoir coming
a trumper blasts
and the end begins

Commentary:
Ahhh, but for the righteous it is just the beginning of the promised forever face-to-face with said Saviour.....g-rae
-------
You are correct ofcourse, it's the beginning of the end of this fallen, creaking, groaning, sordid clump of clay, we currently call home.
Not a minute to soon, nor too late, even so, come quickly, He who is Faithful & True !
-------
didn't the aforementioned "saviour" create what you refer to as a "sordid clump of clay"?
-------
Yes, indeed, he did, and just look at what we have done to it.
-------
Then do something about it.
-------
What are you doing about it ?
God created a paradise,
we have turned it into...New Jersey
-------
It's called free will, baby.
-------
If "we" turned it into New Jersey, what is New Jersey?
-------
free will
free love
Freehold
cheap grace
lose face
the wages
of sin
remain
the same
it's called
death, baby

-------
Everyone dies, baby.
-------
Everyone sins, too, baby
-------
Yeah, but not everyone has a "SAVOIR" (sic) she can truly call her own.
(In fact, most of us have neither enough "saviour" nor enough "savoire" in our lives.)
-------
Sometimes a girl's gotta have the savoir faire to savor being her own saviour.
