Poem Number 810
Epitaph

Commentary:
Remember me, as I was
When you held me in your hand
A thing on which to dream
A new uncharted land.
Remember me, as I felt
Fragile, yes, but also strong
With dreams and ideas great
Made real in verse and song.
True, I do not breathe
No mem'ry of how things were
Unless you remember me
And with words make me stir.
Here I lie forgotten now
Something like a vapor
Won't you please remember me?
Here I lie- paper.
-- Withered Hand
