Poem Number 809
shhhh, you are thinking much too loud
it quiet downs to be sure if you keep it good & drowned
there are others though - you'd like to know who do not have that leisure
i know it is just a figment of a long forgotten pleasure
but it would be nice to find paradise in anesthesia that's well measured
so just before your moment's respite, please give a sec to me
it's not the peace that comes to you that is what i envy
it's not that i must go without or that i can't have any
it's that i can not qualify to be among your club,
the self-conciousness that you possess seems brutal and abusive
and dismisses my advances with taunts sensual and derisive
